Fabiano Cangelosi formed The Cangelosi Firm in 2022 as a firm specialising in criminal defence capable or operating at the very highest levels of the Australian court hierarchy.

Aside from acting for clients of The Cangelosi Firm, Fabiano is regularly retained as counsel by a number of other Tasmanian law firms in complex criminal matters.

Fabiano is known for a rigorously technical style of advocacy that frequently strangles-off poorly thought out prosecution cases, and a vigorous cross-examination technique.

Fabiano was admitted to the legal profession in 2011, and practised at the Launceston firm of Rae & Partners from 2011-2014, and the Hobart firm of Simmons Wolfhagen from 2014-2017. Isabella was admitted in 2022 and has rapidly become recognised as amongst the most capable of younger lawyers regularly appearing in the criminal jurisdiction.

Isabella is a naturally fearless advocate with the utmost compassion for her clients. She appears daily as an advocate in the Magistrates’ Court for criminal matters, including bail applications, sentencing hearings, contest mention hearings, and trials.

Jessica was admitted in 2024, and before working as a criminal lawyer practised in the area of workers’ compensation. Prior to her admission, she gained significant experience in sensitive investigations through her role with the State’s Integrity Commission.

Jessica brings a thoroughly analytical approach to her work. She appears daily as an advocate in the Magistrates’ Court for criminal matters, including bail applications, sentencing hearings, contest mention hearings, and trials.
